Wow, you clicked on the about us link!  Now I really wish a I had some amazing, harrowing tale of how funny little dog started; something involving capital investment firms, conspiracy, espionage, lawsuits, countersuits, presidential oversight, etc. etc.  But in the end, it’s just a simple, boring, typical love of animals story.  So if you’re not into that sort of thing, you should just click on the store link, browse and shop until your heart’s content.  I’m sure you will find something more worthwhile there.

Well, you’re still reading.  Ok, here goes.  The story of funny little dog is nothing special (well not in the grand scheme of the world), but begins like so many others with a girl (lets call her Michele) and her lovable, zany pets: Bea, Mia, and “The Finn” (and yes, he requires a definite article and capital letters, trust me).  Now, Michele just couldn’t get enough of her dogs, and was sure that everyone felt the same way, despite expensive oriental rugs that were chewed, or got the “doggie seal of approval”.  She felt these critters just had a little more to say, and that’s how funny little dog began. 

Michele’s background in graphic design made apparel a natural choice, and the quirky things that everyone’s pets do was the inspiration for the designs. No matter how big or small your pup, they will always be your funny little dog.  I mean Bea is an 85-pound lap dog, which may seem weird.  But, you know you have one too, or at least know someone who does.  This company is about how much we care about our pups, whether they are your workout buddy, or just the buddy that listens but doesn’t talk back.  The designs are inspired to show your love of your pet while being stylish and a bit quirky at the same time.

Since the launch of funny little dog in the spring of 2004 we have met so many wonderful people and “funny little dogs” that have given us great support, feedback and wonderful lasting relationships. We always try to do our best to support animal rescues and shelters and give back to the community at every opportunity. Funny little dog is, well, a funny little clothing company that plans on leaving a mark (one that stain remover won’t get rid of)! So, if you have a “funny little dog”, or know someone who does, then by all means dig thru our website to see what we have to offer.
